A Children’s Discovery Garden made possible by community generosity. 

This vibrant outdoor space, where literacy, imagination, play, and nature come together, was fully funded through philanthropy, reflecting the power of community generosity to create something lasting for local children and families.

Where Learning Comes to Life

Local Laidlaw Design Co. drew from Central Idaho’s natural beauty to transform a once barren and underused patch of land into the Children’s Discovery Garden.

The Garden features hands-on opportunities for curiosity and discovery through:

• Storytime and literacy programming outdoors
• Sensory experiences through plants, textures, sound, and movement
• Native plant and pollinator education
• Seating and gathering spaces for families
• Accessible pathways for strollers, wheelchairs, and all visitors
• A beautiful year-round public space for the community

Children can observe butterflies and bees, touch and smell plants, read in the open air, and build an early connection to both learning and the natural world.
