McCall Public Library Foundation

Investing in a Library. Strengthening a Community.

The McCall Public Library Foundation inspires philanthropic and community support for the McCall Public Library - helping ensure it remains a vibrant place to learn, connect, create, and belong for generations to come

Why It Matters

Community use since the library expansion in 2024 shows just how essential the library has become:

  • Daily visitors have tripled
  • More than 1,000 visitors each week
  • 250% increase in children’s storybook checkouts
  • 50% increase in adult fiction checkouts
  • 30–40 children and families attend every Storytime
  • 15–20 youth participate in each Tech Tuesday
  • Study rooms booked 97% of days for tutoring, job interviews, study groups, and proctored exams

These numbers represent more than activity. They reflect families gathering, students succeeding, job seekers preparing, readers exploring, and neighbors connecting.

The Foundation’s Impact

The McCall Public Library Foundation helps turn community generosity into lasting impact for the library.

Through philanthropic and community support, the Foundation has provided $2.7 million in total support for the library, including $2.4 million toward the new facility and full funding for the Children’s Discovery Garden.

Together, neighbors, donors, and partners are creating spaces, programs, and opportunities that will serve McCall for generations to come.

    We’ve contributed

    • $2.7 million in total support for the library
    • $2.45 million toward the construction of the new library facility.
    • Full funding for the Children’s Discovery Garden.

With our help, we are creating spaces, programs, and opportunities that will serve McCall for generations to come.

      Donor Voices

When the vision for a new library was first shared, it felt ambitious for a town our size. The Foundation brought integrity, transparency, and steady leadership to the campaign, earning the confidence of donors and the broader community. The result is a library that truly elevates McCall and serves all members of this community.

Supporting the Library Foundation feels a little like jumping on the train with The Little Engine That Could—just adding a little extra steam to something already so full of heart and direction. The library has given us a deeper connection to the community and a front-row seat to the joy books and gatherings bring to people of all ages.
