Our history
The McCall Public Library Foundation was incorporated in 2018 as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization to support enhancement efforts by the Library, the Library Board of Trustees, community volunteers and the City of McCall.
The City of McCall and the Library Board of Trustees explored the feasibility of a major gifts campaign in our community to support a Library expansion and determined that forming a private nonprofit was necessary to lead the fundraising effort.
The Foundation was formed by an enthusiastic and dedicated group of volunteers in 2018 and began its fundraising campaign in earnest in 2019. We also worked with other local organizations in both 2020 and 2021 to promote the bond effort that passed in 2021 with an incredible 78% yes vote.
Our dedicated Board of Directors, our Ambassadors Fundraising Team, and our staff have given their all to make the Foundation a powerful force for good in our community. We are proud that in our short history, we have had a large impact on the expansion effort for the McCall Public Library.
