Built in 1972, Our 50-year-old Library has changed very little since its construction, while McCall's population has nearly doubled.
In just the last decade, circulation is up 85% and program attendance has increased by an astounding 550%!
Our Library is bursting at the seams! It lacks space for programming, gathering, lectures, books, technology or children's discovery areas to meet the needs of our community.
Through a community wide, multi-year effort, we are on track to provide our community with the Library it wants and needs. Since 2019, the Foundation has raised $1.8 million towards this vital community asset. In May 2021, McCall voters responded to that success by saying yes to a $4.2 million bond for the Library renovation and expansion. The Foundation's commitment is to raise an additional $200,000 in 2023, and to continue the effort until the completion of the expansion project.
