Library Expansion

Library Expansion

The expansion of the McCall Public Library transformed a long-held community vision into reality.

The original 1972 facility could no longer meet the needs of our growing community. The expansion project reimagined the library as a flexible and future-ready space for learning, connection, and opportunity.

The Foundation’s Role

The McCall Public Library Foundation played a key role in making the expansion possible.

Working alongside the City of McCall, donors, and community partners, the Foundation led private fundraising efforts, inspired community support, and helped close critical funding gaps during construction.

In all, the Foundation contributed $2.5 million toward the expansion project.

What the New Facility Offers

  • Children’s library and storytime space
  • Study rooms and meeting spaces
  • Makerspace and creative learning areas
  • Teen areas
  • Community hall for events and lectures
  • Technology-integrated workspaces
  • Improved accessibility and visitor experience

A Lasting Investment

The library expansion stands as a lasting investment in McCall’s future, born from a shared belief that when a library thrives, a community thrives.
